“Ellis, can’t you get rid of him? You’re the only one I want to see me like this.”
Under normal circumstances, Ellis wouldn’t have been able to resist the flirtatious attention from the models. But the man in front of him was Ashton, and Ashton was fierce and ruthless. Ellis didn’t have the guts to challenge him.
However, the women, unaware of the situation, continued to ridicule Ashton.
Ellis, frustrated and anxious, felt the pressure mounting. The women weren’t helping at all and only made things worse. He wanted to scold them, but that wasn’t going to fix anything.

“The pool, not the entire rooftop, right?” Ashton said, then turned around and headed straight for the helipad behind the pool, completely ignoring Ellis.
Ellis had some cash to spare but wasn’t wealthy enough to rent the entire rooftop. The building also featured a helicopter landing pad, something ordinary people would never need. The rental fee for this helipad was substantially higher than what Ellis had paid for just the pool area.
Ellis had always assumed the pool encompassed the whole rooftop. So, when he noticed Ashton making his way toward the area behind the pool, he swiftly followed.
Annoyed, he exclaimed, “Are you serious? Can’t you tell we’re the only ones here? Stop right there! I’ve claimed the pool area for today, and you’re not welcome!”
Ashton turned around with a look of irritation and retorted, “When did I ever show interest in your drama?” He brushed off Ellis’ attempt to stop him and continued toward the helipad beyond the pool.

Realizing Ashton’s intent, Ellis hesitated but then mocked, “Hold on, you’re not actually thinking of using that helipad, are you? Do you have any idea how expensive it is to rent that area? Aren’t you Rosalie’s assistant? I bet your whole year’s earnings wouldn’t even cover a day’s rent for that spot!”
While Ellis wasn’t up for a physical confrontation, he felt quite secure taunting Ashton about his finances.
From Ellis’ perspective, Ashton must have caught wind of the pool party he was hosting and figured he could show up uninvited to mingle with the high-profile guests. He believed Ashton was oblivious to the fact that he had rented the place just for him and a few models to relax. Now, feeling embarrassed, Ashton was trying to sneak away from the area of the helipad.
When Ashton heard Ellis’ taunts, he simply smiled and shrugged, saying, “What if I told you I could use that landing pad without spending a dime?”
Ellis’ laughter grew louder, and the group of young models lounging in the pool joined in with their own giggles. One of them, eager to curry favor with Ellis, stepped forward and mocked, “Do you really think you can land that huge space for nothing? Are you suggesting you own this entire building?”
