Lowering his voice, Ashton stated, “I’ll head over to the station to get more details on the case. Perhaps I can offer some assistance.”
Rayden knew of Ashton’s medical prowess. After all, Ashton had once saved his daughter’s life.
Initially, he pondered how best to involve Ashton in their investigation. When Ashton offered his assistance, he didn’t hesitate to accept.
“Your help could be a game changer. Once you’re there, hang tight at the police station; I’ll come find you after I wrap up here.” Rayden swiftly concluded the call and dashed back to his meeting.
Ashton didn’t waste any time. He prepared quickly and made his way to the police station.
He arrived sooner than expected and was informed by a staff member that Rayden was still tied up in his meeting.
Left with no alternative, Ashton settled into a seat in the lobby, biding his time until Rayden was free.
