Chapter 682
Chapter 682:
With a weary sigh, she readied herself to discuss a compromise with the three.
Just as she opened her mouth to speak, Ashton stepped forward, positioning himself between her and the crowd. He leaned in, whispering, “Don’t give in to them. If you agree to their demands, it’ll look like an admission that something’s wrong with the products. They’ll just turn it against you.”
Abrial nodded, understanding his point. But uncertainty lingered. “Then what should I do now?” she asked, a hint of worry in her voice.
Ashton cast a comforting smile in Abrial’s direction. “Don’t worry, Abrial. I’m here, aren’t I?”
With that, he turned to the three people and offered a calm, reassuring smile. “There’s no need to rush. Miss Carter genuinely cares about your situation. I’m the doctor assisting her, here to examine and treat you. If you cooperate, I assure you, recovery won’t be far off.” The trio exchanged wary glances before nodding in agreement.
“Alright, if you’re a doctor, get on with it. Treat us!” one of them urged.
To them, Ashton appeared too young, barely in his twenties. Even if he was a doctor, they assumed he lacked real experience. They secretly hoped he’d fumble, maybe even worsen their injuries, to reinforce their claims.
Seeing their compliance, Ashton didn’t hesitate. He crouched down and began examining their supposed injuries.
Without a word, he seized one man’s knee, rotated it sharply, and then twisted it outward. A loud crack echoed, and the man let out a howl of pain.
The other two recoiled, fear flashing in their eyes, and tried to pull away from Ashton.
But he was quicker. Grabbing another man’s arm, he twisted it back at a harsh angle, around a hundred degrees, and pressed it inward firmly.

“All set. These two aren’t genuinely hurt. They just applied pressure to dislocate their arm and leg on purpose. Fixing this doesn’t take long,” he said, his voice laced with calm precision.
Then, he turned to the third person, lifted his wrist, and inspected it closely. “Now, this wrist here—yes, it’s fractured. But by the looks of the indentation, this was caused by a heavy impact, not by anything from this store’s rehabilitation equipment.”
He straightened up and fixed the three with a steady gaze. “So, in summary, your injuries have no connection to anything you bought here. I suspect you’re trying to pull off a scam.”
The trio’s expressions shifted, but they didn’t back down.
One of them sneered, “What kind of nonsense is that? You’re just helping her dodge responsibility!”
“Yeah! You’re a damn quack. My arm hurts even more after you touched it!” another chimed in angrily.
Ashton merely chuckled, his tone turning cold. “If you won’t admit it, we can always get the police involved.”
