Chapter 759
Chapter 759:
Fuming, they headed straight for the Crawford estate to confront him.
When they arrived, they found Stephen completely unfazed. He greeted them with a smirk, casually brewing coffee as if yesterday’s arguments hadn’t happened at all.
“Hey, what brings you two here? Just dropping by for a chat?” he asked, grinning.
Hamlin didn’t waste any time. “Did you steal our treasures?”
Stephen froze for a moment, then turned toward them with mock confusion. “What? Your treasures were stolen? When did that happen? You guys must’ve really let your guard down.”
Hamlin bristled at Stephen’s nonchalant attitude. “Are you seriously playing dumb? We haven’t lost anything else except those treasures. It’s obvious this was deliberate! Who else could it be but you?”
Stephen’s expression darkened, his tone turning icy. “Do you two have any sense? Those vaults were supposed to be impenetrable. We need our own fingerprint, voice, and iris scanning to open our own vault. Who else would have access to your treasures besides the two of you? And now you’re blaming me? Instead of keeping track of your…”
“Valuables, you come here throwing baseless accusations. You are both pathetic!”
Leonardo and Hamlin exchanged uneasy glances. They didn’t have hard evidence, but Stephen’s involvement seemed too likely to dismiss.
After a long silence, Leonardo finally broke it, his voice strained but steady. “We’ll help you, Stephen. This isn’t beyond saving yet. Don’t make this worse than it already is.”
Stephen’s eyes narrowed, his sharp tone cutting through the room. “Help me? When did I ask for your help? You’re so quick to forget how you turned your backs on me the moment it got inconvenient. You wanted me out of the picture, didn’t you? Now you’re here, accusing me, acting like saints. Well, let me be clear, this is my business now. Stay out of it.”
Leonardo’s frustration boiled over as he snapped, “You’ve completely lost it, Stephen. Just give us back the treasures!”

Stephen’s expression turned stone cold, and his voice dropped, laden with quiet fury. “Listen carefully. What you lost has nothing to do with me. Unless you have concrete proof, keep your baseless accusations to yourself. Now get out, before I show you exactly how unpleasant I can be.”
Over the years, Stephen had caused no shortage of trouble, and Leonardo and Hamlin had always been the ones to clean up after him. But this time, his arrogance and recklessness had gone too far.
For the first time, their once-strong friendship felt fractured beyond repair.
Disheartened, the two men shared one final glance at Stephen before silently walking out of the Crawford estate.
As they reached the car, Hamlin exhaled sharply, his nerves on edge. “What do we do now? If he actually uses those treasures, we could end up in serious trouble too.”
Leonardo stared out at the road, his expression hardening with resolve. “If he wants to blame us for going against him, fine. Let’s just do that. We’ll go see Ashton and cooperate with him.”
