Chapter 573

Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess · Dana E.

Josefina and Oliver were cozied up in a corner booth at the local café, a shared dessert between them and two steaming cups of coffee.

Josefina took a bite of the dessert, savoring its sweetness. Oliver set his phone down and broke the silence. "Lena's out of the picture; the law will handle her. But that guy in the portrait? Still nothing on him."

"No news is good news," Josefina said, putting down her fork to sip her coffee.

"I'm beginning to think he's using some kind of high-end disguise to change his looks. That's why we can't track him," Oliver mused.

Josefina's eyes lit up. "Makes perfect sense, Oliver. You're always so sharp."

Oliver chuckled. "Maybe you thought of it too, but just didn't say it."

He offered Josefina a slice of apple, perfectly cut, and she took a bite, finding it deliciously sweet. As they chatted and nibbled on the fruit, Grant's call interrupted.

"Grant, if you're hungry, just get room service. They'll bring it up," Josefina said, still at work.

"I'm not hungry, Josie. I just wanted to know when you're off so I can pick you up." "No need, I'll drive over. It's easier," she replied.

Grant agreed and hung up. Josefina turned back to Oliver and noticed his dark expression.

"Oliver, are you okay? You don't look so good," she asked with concern.

"I'm not okay, Josie. Grant's coming to see you, and you didn't tell me?"

Josefina let out a mixed laugh. "Do I really need to report that?"

"Josie, I'm your boyfriend. Grant's got feelings for you; he's my rival. You should have told me. I'll come with you tonight to meet him. My treat," Oliver declared, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Josefina thought for a moment but disagreed. "Isn't it a bit odd for you to tag along?"

With Oliver so firm in his stance, Josefina found it hard to argue and reluctantly agreed.

After finishing up, they both headed back to their respective offices.

...

As Josefina clocked out, she saw that Oliver was already waiting for her in his car. He spotted Grant too looking sharp in a suit, his buzz cut adding to his allure. Grant stood by the roadside with a bouquet waiting for her.

Oliver arched an eyebrow and strode over to Grant. Grant noticed and stood tall, exuding hostility. In the setting sun, their shadows stretched long, like duelists ready for a showdown.

"Grant, are those flowers for Josie?" Oliver asked.

"And what if they are? Can't I bring flowers for Rosa?" Grant retorted coolly.

Oliver, with one hand casually in his trouser pocket, exuded a mix of

Their gazes locked, the animosity palpable.

Grant's smirk was sharp, his eyes piercing. "Oliver, Rosa might be your girlfriend,

but she's not married to you. I have every right to pursue her!"
