Chapter 584

Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess · Dana E.

"Livia, can you please come back home with me for a bit? Ever since you left, Bobby hasn't been eating or sleeping. He's turning into a lovesick puppy."

Livia's heart softened at the thought of Bobby.

When she woke up, aside from seeing Finley, she also saw a golden retriever named Bobby.

Bobby adored Livia. Even when Finley's buddy Shay came over, the dog wouldn't give him the time of day.

It was Finley, his owner, and Livia whom Bobby cared about.

And so, Livia's resolve melted.

Thinking of Bobby, she said to Finley, "I'll take Bobby back with me. I'll take care of him. I've got the means to look after Bobby."

"Livia, Bobby's my dog. I raised him from a pup. If you take him, what about me? What am I gonna do without him?"

Livia was at a loss for words.

"Finley, what do you want me to do? I can't go back with you. If you want Bobby to be happy, let me take him."

Finley pondered for a moment before saying, "If I miss Bobby, can I come over to see him?"

"No way. If you want to see him, get your housekeeper to fetch him. Finley, I really don't want to see you or be connected to you in any way. Isn't Shay the one you're into? Why come to me?"

Livia hopped on her e-scooter, put on her helmet, and looked at Finley with annoyance. "Move it, good dogs don't block the path!"

Finley didn't budge, giving her those puppy dog eyes.

But Livia just turned and zoomed away.

Finley started to follow but was stopped by Oliver's call, "Finley, you made your bed, now lie in it."

Finley turned back, his face the picture of misery. "Oliver, you too? Kicking me when I'm down?"

"I'm not kicking you, I'm just stating the obvious. Livia clearly doesn't want to see you. Why keep chasing her? I thought you weren't into her?"

Finley was speechless.

The two sat down at a nearby café.

Finley ordered an iced Americano and downed it in one gulp.

Oliver was speechless.

"Finley, are you punishing yourself? You're not thinking of using this sad-sack look to gain Livia's sympathy, are you?"

Finley just sighed.

He ordered two more iced Americanos, leaned back in his chair, and let out a deep sigh.

"Oliver, ever since Livia left, I've been restless. Even sleeping pills only give me shallow sleep."

Oliver was surprised and asked, "Sounds like you still have feelings for Livia."

Finley didn't really know what was going on inside him, which is why he had sought out Livia today, to talk, to see her.

Oliver sipped his coffee, chuckling, "Finley, you've fallen hard."

"No way, she's not the one I'm into," Finley insisted.

not

"How can you be so sure she's the one? If you're not into Livia, why did you look her up today? Andusing Bobby as an excuse to see her you even buy that?"

Finley's face darkened; he couldn't be sure of his own feelings.

"I'm telling the truth. Bobby really misses her; he's not himself. I even consulted a

vet who said Bobby's lovesick."

At this, Finley laughed at the absurdity, "A dog lovesick over a human?"

Oliver glanced at him, set down his coffee

, and said, "Exactly, honet

can a dog's lovesickness be because of a person?" Content.

venet

With that, Oliver walked away. Realizing what had just happened, Finley shouted after him, "Oliver, thought we were brothers! Are you giving me hard time in a roundabout way?"
